RETURN TO CHINA

In February this year, The Reunion returned to China for a three-week tour, reuniting with audiences in Shanghai and Beijing and making its debut in Shenzhen.

The cast featured an exceptional lineup of West End and international talent: Samantha Barks, acclaimed for her role as ‘Elsa’ in Frozen at Theatre Royal Drury Lane; Earl Carpenter, the original ‘Inspector Javert’ in Cameron Mackintosh’s 25th Anniversary Production of Les Misérables; Hadley Fraser, who starred as ‘Dr. Frederick Frankenstein’ in the original West End production of Young Frankenstein; Holly-Anne Hull, former ‘Christine Daaé’ in The Phantom of the Opera; Natalie May Paris, the original ‘Jane Seymour’ in SIX! The Musical; and Ramin Karimloo, internationally renowned for his performance as ‘The Phantom’ in the 25th Anniversary staging of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall.

Together, these artists delivered a curated programme of songs from the musicals they have performed in—and in some cases helped originate—offering a powerful and collaborative celebration of musical theatre at its finest.

Central to this captivating experience is the unparalleled talent of the acclaimed luminary, Ramin Karimloo. Known for his unforgettable portrayal of the 'Phantom' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's 25th Anniversary performance of "The Phantom of the Opera," Ramin has received global acclaim. His captivating performance, recorded at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall and broadcast worldwide on October 2, 2011, mesmerised over 100 million viewers. Moreover, Ramin's depiction of 'Enjolras' in the "25th Anniversary Concert of Les Misérables" at The O2 Arena in London in 2010 became one of the most watched shows in PBS history.
